Tennis Stays Perfect In SUNYAC

SYRACUSE, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team stayed perfect on the season with a 8-1 victory over the Eagles of Brockport, Friday evening.

The Hawks swept the single events and won two of the three double events.  The results are as followed:

Singles:

1st- Stephanie Schara (NP) def. Katelyn Richenberg (B) 6-2, 6-1

2nd- Montana Wilson (NP) def. Erin McLaughlin (B) 6-1, 6-0

3rd- Lindsey Garyn (NP) def. Kaitlyn Broderick (B) 6-1, 6-1

4th- Lyndsey Lovinger (NP) def. Katie Keller (B) 6-1, 6-2

5th- Ingrid Maryansky (NP) def. Carolyn McMeneman (B) 6-1, 6-1

6th- Alexandria Esposito (NP) def. Kelsey Spinks (B) 6-0, 6-1

Doubles:

1st- Schara/Garyn (NP) def. Broderick/McMeneman (B) 8-1

2nd- Wilson/Kayla DiPaulo (NP) def. Richenberg/Dana Schulte (B) 8-3

3rd- Keller/McLaughlin (B) def. Lovinger/Kerri Serkes (NP) 8-4

The Hawks improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the SUNYAC.  New Paltz returns to the court Saturday at 12 pm against rival Geneseo and 6 pm against Oswego.
