Women’s Tennis Soars Past Oneonta 7-2

The women’s tennis team traveled to Oneonta this afternoon and defeated the Red Dragons 7-2. The Hawks captured two of the doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles.
New Paltz advances to 6-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference matches.
The doubles team of senior Dana Lim and sophomore Stephanie Schara won their match 9-7. Junior Lyndsey Lovinger and senior Lindsay Trifiletti captured their match 8-3.
Lim took first singles 6-4, 6-1 and Schara battled to win second singles 6-2, 1-6 (10-8). Ingrid Maryansky won fourth singles 6-2, 6-3, Serkes took fifth singles 6-2, 6-3 and Juliette Brandon gave New Paltz their final win at sixth singles 6-0, 6-1.
New Paltz will host Vassar at 3:30 on Wednesday before beginning play at the SUNYAC Tournament on Friday.
