First year Elana Jaroff (Old Westbury/Wheatley School) netted both goals in the 2-1 victory over Bard on Tuesday night.
Jaroff put the Hawks on the board early in the game on a pass from Emily Buckner (Pine Bush) at 9:20. Bard found the equalizer at 29:05, to enter the intermission tied at 1-1.
In the second half, New Paltz out shot Bard 4-1 and held a 5-1 advantage on corners. Jaroff tallied the game winner at 71:30, for her fourth goal of the season.
Senior Sarah Boccard (Washingtonville) earned the win in goal, posting two saves.
The Hawks advance to 5-6-1 on the season and will return to action on Friday when they host Plattsburgh at 4pm.
