2007 Field Hockey Recap

NEW PALTZ — The New Paltz Field Hockey Team ended their season with a 5-13-0 overall record and 3-8-0 SUNYAC record.
The Hawks record put them at forth in the conference. Freshman Jess Moore and Caitlin Ryder were named to the All-SUNYAC First Team. Moore finished her season with a team high of seven goals, four assists for 18 points on her way to earning all-region second team honors. Ryder brought her year to a close with a total of one goal, five assists and 22 shots. Freshman Sarah Schloss was named to the All-SUNYAC Second Team. The forward had four goals, three assists and 30 shots to her name.
The goalie position was split among three players. First year Grace Watson started the year in net and due to an injury only played 249 minutes making 40 saves for a 76.9 saver percentage. Classmate Elizabeth Dini took over in goal and posted 50 saves in 560 minutes of action. Sophomore Jess Malone finished the year in cage with a percentage of 67.7% in 462 minutes.
