Women’s Soccer Falls to Union

TROY, NY — The women’s soccer team fell to 0-2 on the season, as they lost to Union College this afternoon. The Dutchwomen had four different players score in the 4-0 decision.
The first goal was converted off a corner kick at 28:45, followed by a deflected ball off another corner kick three mintues later. The final goal of the first half was a header in the 38th minute. The final goal came in the second stanza at 57:14.
New Paltz was outshot 27-4 in the game and were denied any corner kick opportunities, compared to Union’s eight. Junior Sarah Boccard stopped nine shots in the loss.
The Hawks host their home opener on Wednesday September 5th against the Ramapo Roadrunners and 4:30 pm.
