New Paltz Tennis Remains Unbeaten with 9-0 Win Against Plattsburgh

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team tallied another win onto their record with a 9-0 showing against Plattsburgh late Saturday night.
Dana Lim (Clarkstown South/New City) and Eri Yamakawa (Eastchester, NY) won at first doubles, 8-2, as senior Jennifer Larson (Port Jervis) and sophomore Katherine Ketigian (Scared Heart Academy/Garden City) won 9-8 at second doubles. Lyndsey Lovinger (Miller Place) and Ashley Trifiletti (Mamaroneck, NY/Rye Neck) were 9-7 winners at third doubles.
New Paltz claimed all of the singles flights as Lim won at first singles 6-3, 6-2. Yamakawa won in straight sets of 6-1, 6-1 at second singles. Larson was a 7-6, 6-4 winner at third singles and Ketigian posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Rounding out in fifth and sixth singles were Kerri Serkes (Massapequa) and Lovinger who won 6-1, 6-0 and 7-5, 6-2, respectively.
The Hawks advance to 6-0 on the season.
