Management Association Joint Chapter Event on November 9th

NEW PALTZ — The Management Association Joint Chapter event on November 9th is sponsored by the Management Association (MA) and the Mid-Hudson Human Resource Association (MHHRA).

Date: Thursday, November 9th 2006
Time: 5:15-8:00pm
Location: College Terrace Restaurant at SUNY New Paltz
Cost: $20 for students and $30 for non-students. Includes hors d’oeuvres, a dinner buffet, and dessert.
RSVP Deadline: October 31st if paying by Meal Card or November 3rd if paying by cash or check.

Students and professionals are invited to attend the annual Joint Chapter Event held between the Management Association (MA) and the Mid-Hudson Human Resource Association (MHHRA) on Thursday, November 9th. The evening will include a networking session, dinner, workshop, and giveaways. The event will be highlighted by a workshop on “Behavioral Interviewing”. This lively, interactive session will introduce students and other attendees to the latest interview tips and techniques for job candidates. Don’t miss this opportunity to join local human resource professionals and learn about the four types of interview questions, which questions are the most important, and how to improve your skills when asking and answering behavioral interview questions.

Karen Robilotta, Managing Director of TD Consulting Group in White Plains, NY, will lead the presentation. A noted speaker and author, Karen is a leading expert on learning in the workplace, building leadership capacity, and business strategy implementation. She has direct experience in diverse industries with companies such as American Express, Chelsea Piers, Cardiovascular Research Foundation, the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the American Museum of Natural History.

The Management Association is the SUNY New Paltz student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and MHHRA is its SHRM sponsoring professional chapter.
