Vassar Brewers Blank New Paltz Hawks, 3-0

NEW PALTZ, NY — The Vassar Women’s Soccer Team came away with a 3-0 victory over SUNY New Paltz this afternoon at Alumni Field.

Sophomore Emma Kemp (Albany, CA) put the Brewers on the board with a header at the 7:28 mark off a right side cross from Kate Bossange (Saratoga, CA) who was credited with the assist. Vassar struck early in the second half when freshman Anna Robinson (Toronto, ON) found the back of the net at 45:31.

Junior Nicole Daddazio (New York, NY) rounded out the scoring with an unassisted tally in the 87th minute. Daddazio fired a shot into the upper left corner of the net after a deflected shot was rebounded back to her.

Sophomore keeper Sarah Boccard (Washingtonville, NY) made 12 saves for New Paltz.

The Hawks drop to 1-3-1 on the season as the Brewers advance to 1-1. New Paltz takes to the road this weekend as they begin SUNYAC play. Friday the Hawks will take on the Knights of Geneseo and Saturday they will face off against the Brockport Golden Eagles.
