NEW PALTZ, NY — Junior midfielder Meredith Ventimiglia (Patchogue, NY) hit a game-winning goal one minute into overtime to lead SUNY New Paltz past St. Joseph’s College this afternoon.
The goal, assisted by junior forward Lauren Martone (Hudson-on-Hastings, NY), was Ventimiglia’s second goal of the season. Sophomore goalie Lisa Pavia (Deer Park, NY) had 10 saves for St. Josephs and junior goalie Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) had eight saves for New Paltz. The win gives Fenton her third shutout of the season.
