NEW PALTZ, NY — A driving rain storm didn’t stop nearly 75 student-athletes and their head coaches from supporting a worthwhile cause. On October 19, the SUNY New Paltz Department of Athletics gathered at Woodbury Commons in Woodbury, NY for a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.
Members of the women’s basketball, cross country, field hockey, soccer, swimming, tennis, and volleyball teams endured the elements and raised $3,102.90.
The New Paltz Department of Athletics were among the 9,200 walkers who joined together to raise $730,000.
