NEW PALTZ — The New Paltz women’s swimming team defeated Oneonta State in a duel meet this Friday at Elting Gymnasium. The Hawks picked up their first duel meet victory by overcoming the Red Dragons by a final score of 114 to 84.
Danielle Lindner led the way for the Hawks placing first in the 200 Backstroke (2:15:19) and again in the 200 IM (2:20:19). Lindner then teamed up with Mallory Grempel, Meghan O’Brien, and Joanna Masterson in the 400 Medley Relay (4:17:18) to finish first.

Mallory Grempel won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:36:33
Joanna Masterson won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 25:52
Molly Soule won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:06:92 and combined with Nicole Petrous, Lauren Ruane, and Jaime Parrotte to win the 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:08:00.
