NEW PALTZ, NY – — The SUNY New Paltz men’s swimming team defeated conference rival Oneonta 110-77 to pick up its first dual meet win of the 2002-03 season. The Hawks won seven of eight events to even their record at 1-1 this season. New Paltz grabbed an early 13-4 lead when the 400 medley relay team of Kent Yeung, Jon Amoia, Jon Sousa, and Jay Sousa finished first with a time of 3:47.40.

Mark Costello won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:26.18
Jon Sousa was first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.79 and also won the 200 butterfly with a mark of 2:05.60.
Jay Sousa was first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.64
Kent Yeung finished first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51:08.
