TROY — The New Paltz women’s basketball team was defeated Wednesday night by Russell Sage 68-63. Sage grabbed the lead with nine minutes left in the second half and never lost it again. Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) paced the Hawks with 18 points while Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) had 16 and Lindsay Dakin (Andover, CT) added 15.
New Paltz’s record now stands at 4-16 on the year. The Lady Hawks will host Hunter College Friday night at Elting beginning at 6:00. Saturday the women’s team will host conference foe Cortland starting at 6:00.
