Women’s Lacrosse loses to Manhattanville

PURCHASE, NY — After giving up twelve goals in the first half, the Hawks defense stiffened up and allowed only six goals in the second half but it wasn’t enough as the Hawks lost 5-18 at Manhattanville on Wednesday.

For New Paltz Caurie Waddell and Megan Porter each scored two goals a piece. Katie Sharp continued her consecutive point-scoring streak at twelve games with a goal. Hawks goalie Laura Neander, in only her second game between the pipes ever in lacrosse registered twelve saves.

With the loss New Paltz falls to 0-7 overall and hosts Oneonta, Friday at 2:00 pm at Dietz Stadium in Kingston.
