New Paltz loses to Regional Power RPI

NEW PALTZ — On Wednesday afternoon the RPI Men’s Tennis team paid a visit to the Bubble at New Paltz and came away with a 0-9 victory.

Although the Hawks didn’t manage to win a match, they did turn in some strong performances. The number four singles player, Brad Breakstone won the first set against Chris Laptik 6-3, but lost the next two sets 3-6 and 8-9. The third set went to a tiebreaker, which Breakstone lost 1-2. The number three doubles tandem of Breakstone and Bobby Calise lost an eight pro-set 6-8.

For the season, the Hawks drop to 3-5 overall and host Western Connecticut State today at 3:00 pm.
