Hawks Soar Past City College

NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz had little trouble against the only four City College of New York competitors that were participating in the match on Thursday, as the Hawks soared past C.C.N.Y., 9-0, at the university’s Lower Courts.

Junior captain Ed Paulinski was ahead 3-0 in his first singles match when the Beavers’ Joe Philip had to retire due to injury. Teammates Brian Palmenteri and Jasson Rosario each won twice for the (2-4) Hawks.

New Paltz is right back on the courts tomorrow, when it hosts regional men’s tennis power Oneonta for a 3:30 p.m. match.
