NEW PALTZ — The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team fought valiantly but lost again, this time to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 8-1, on Saturday at New Paltz’s lower tennis courts.
Megan Crevioserat delivered the (0-5) Hawks lone win of the day at fourth singles, pulling out a 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 win over the Red Hawks’ Beth Fabian.
In other matches, the team of Jill Gaudet and Allison Schwille extended Rensselaer’s Barna Das and Jen Lai to an 8-5 third doubles match, and Ashley Momtahen lost in three sets, 4-6, 6-0, 6-4, to Andrea Paquette at sixth singles.
New Paltz is at Bard on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
