Ganje and Bullard Named To All-Tourney Team

BEVERLY, MA — Senior outside hitter Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) and junior opposite Ryan Bullard (Hauppauge, NY) were each named to the all-tournament team at the Endicott Tournament over the weekend.

The Hawks won three of four matches in the two-day event. Along the way the 10th ranked Hawks defeated Hunter 3-1, sixth-ranked Medaille 3-2 and ninth-ranked Endicott 3-1 before falling 3-0 to seventh ranked Rivier in the title match.

In 16 games, Ganje averaged 4.06 kills, 1.69 digs and had a .414 hitting percentage. He recorded 15 or more kills in all four matches and had 17 kills in two matches. His 17-kill, eight-dig, four-ace, three-block effort helped SUNY New Paltz rally from a 2-1 deficit against Medaille.

Bullard averaged 2.81 kills, 1.50 digs, 0.88 service aces and 0.75 blocks over 16 games in the tournament. Bullard had 10 kills, nine digs and four service aces in the Hawks win over Hunter. He also turned in 16 kills, six digs, six service aces and a .333 hitting percentage in the victory over Endicott.

The 15-8 Hawks will return to action on Friday (Mar. 11) against Newbury at 5:00 p.m. in Elting Gym.
