NEW PALTZ, NY — The Hawks from Roger Williams took three straight games from New Paltz 30-25, 30-19, 30-25 in their eight victory of the season Sunday.
Roger Williams’ record now sits at 8-4 on the year. New Paltz sinks to 0-10.
Sophomore Matt Arnold (Warwick, RI) led the visitors with 12 kills on the afternoon and sophomore Jake Blair (Arlington, MA) contributed 11. Junior Tony Wetterau (Copley, PA) added eight kills for RWU and finished the match with a .636 hitting percentage and Jack Delahanty (Albany, NY) had 36 assists.
For New Paltz, sophomore Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) ended the match with 17 kills and a .352 hitting percentage. Shawn Livingston (King’s Park, NY) tallied 18 assists and Mike LaRocco (Hauppauge, NY) added 15.
New Paltz will be in action again Tuesday at Elting Gym against New Haven beginning at 7:00 p.m.
