Holistic Hawks hosts series of #StressBusters to mark the end of the spring 2024 semester

With the spring 2024 semester coming to an end, SUNY New Paltz’s Holistic Hawks committee is offering multiple Stressbuster events from May 1-16 to help New Paltz students through Finals Week and prepare to transition to summer.  

The campus community is also invited for an evening of competitive release with the annual Kickball Tournament, Thursday, May 9 at 5 p.m. Click here to sign up as a team or by yourself! 

Here are some of the highlights of the spring 2024 #StressBusters events:  

The Psychological Counseling Center offers support with Art Your Stress Away on May 10 and Let’s Talk on May 1, May 8, and May 16. 

Learn how to build a labyrinth at the Labyrinth of Light on Parker Quad. You can stop by at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The labyrinth will be on display for all of #StressBusters 

A favorite returns in Peregrine Dining Hall with the Late Night Breakfast, Tuesday, May 7 starting at 9 p.m. Enjoy some wild sweet treats and breakfast favorites while bonding with your peers.  

And on May 8, enjoy a slew of fun and enriching activities to help you gear up for finals week! The Center for Student Success will host a Review Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., which also includes a meet and greet with Ellie, the UPD police dog, from 1-2 p.m. and some Crafts and Sweet Treats between 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. 

That’s just a small sample of everything there is to offer. Other #StressBusters events include a pickle-making event, trivia games, a drum circle and many more.
