The annual Celebration of Writing Day at SUNY New Paltz will take place on Friday, May 5, and the Writing Board is inviting students in all majors to participate.
As part of the larger Student Research Symposium, this event celebrates student writing across the curriculum in multiple genres: creative writing, nonfiction (including journalism, memoir and creative nonfiction), academic writing, languages other than English, and poetry.
Students can submit their original work by completing this application by Thursday, April 20. Those who are selected will have the opportunity to read their pieces before an audience of peers and professors at the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. on May 5. Awards of distinction will be given to the most outstanding submissions.
