Center for Student Success earns CRLA certification for tutor training program

The Center for Student Success at SUNY New Paltz has been awarded certification as a Level 1 tutor training program by the internationally recognized College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).

CRLA certification represents a major milestone for the College’s academic support services. Center for Student Success staff have worked hard to develop a tutor training program that meets the CRLA’s rigorous standards and fulfills their International Tutor Training Program Certification peer review requirements.

Achieving certification means that the Center has met CRLA’s high standards for tutor selection, training, direct service and evaluation as an integral part of the overall tutoring program at New Paltz.

New Paltz’s Center for Student Success presents a state model for integrated peer-to-peer supports that promote student learning, academic engagement, and equitable student outcomes. For more information about the Center, please click here.
