There are currently 27 active cases of COVID-19 in our campus community. Two are employees and 25 are students. Two students are isolating on campus, and all others are isolating off campus. Five additional students are in quarantine on campus.
Since Jan. 1, 2022, there have been 53 active cases among students and 53 active cases among employees. Active cases are defined as a confirmed positive COVID-19 test among members of our community who have been on campus while possibly infectious.
There were 3,333 tests conducted at our on-campus Awosting Hall testing site from Jan. 23 – 29, with a positivity rate of 0.6%.
Ulster County’s current seven-day testing positivity rate is 12%, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
Students, faculty and staff can use this link to schedule an appointment for on-campus COVID-19 testing at Awosting Hall.
Testing is also available at a New York State-run site at College Terrace. Learn more and make an appointment here. The state-run site is open to all members of the public. Students and employees may choose to get a test at that state-run site, but please be advised that you will need to manually upload your test results to my.newpaltz.edu.
