New Paltz faculty can now access professional development and resources through the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity

SUNY New Paltz has obtained an Institutional Membership to the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), a move that extends new professional development, training and mentoring resource to all our faculty.

The NCFDD is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community of faculty, post-doctorates and graduate students from more than 450 colleges and universities.

Previously available only to our Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth (PRODiG) faculty through a SUNY system membership, the College is pleased to be able to use SUNY faculty development funding to support a campus membership that will now benefit all of our faculty.

In addition to the resources available to you as an Institutional Member, the Center also offers professional development training and intensive mentoring programs.

To claim your access to our Institutional Membership, complete the following steps:

Go to http://www.facultydiversity.org/join

Choose “New Paltz” from the drop-down menu.

Select “Activate my Membership”

Complete the registration form using your New Paltz email address

Go to your New Paltz email to find a confirmation/welcome email. Click “Activate Account” in the email.

Those who take advantage of this resource will gain access to a large network of academics across the country available for mentorship and support services designed for faculty at any stage of their academic careers.

If you have any questions about the membership, please contact Shala Mills, associate provost for academic planning & learning innovation, at millss@newpaltz.edu.
