NEW PALTZ, NY-The New Paltz women’s basketball team is 7-4 on the season and 4-1 in the SUNYAC.The team ranks 31st in three-point field goals a game with 6.8 and their defense is only allowing opponents to shoot 24.6% from behind the arc, which is 35th best in the nation.The team forces a conference best 23.1 turnovers a game and has a plus 4.20 turnover margin.
Senior guard Nicole Sarcone ranks 15th in the nation with a 1.92 assist-turnover ratio and is 47th in assists per game with 4.6.Senior guard Kristen Caban averages 2.5 three-pointers per game which is good for 42nd in the nation.
