NEW PALTZ, NY- This past Wednesday, the New Paltz men’s basketball program visited Lenape Elementary School in New Paltz for a reading program. The Lenape students were excited to have the Hawks there, and as a result the visit turned into a question and answer session.
The students were interested in learning more about the team, most notably what was their favorite subject and their major. The students were eager to learn which professional basketball player and team was their favorite.
“I and the coaching staff really enjoyed the experience with the students and would like to thank Mr. Castro, Principal of Lenape, to allow us to come in and interact with the kids. It was a win-win situation for the kids as well as the New Paltz men’s basketball team and coaching staff” said head coach Dagan Nelson.
