HOBOKEN, NJ- The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team defeated CCNY 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-18) on the first day of the Stevens Tournament. The Hawks have won four straight and 12 of 13 since opening the season 2-4.
Melinda DiGiovanna led the Hawks with 10 tens kills and Brittany Coyle chipped in with nine kills and had a game-high eight blocks. Stephanie Bova led the attack with 33 assists and Loren Crabbe led the defensive with 15 digs.
The Hawks improve to 14-5 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC. The Hawks finish up the Stevens Tournament tomorrow against Montclair St. at 10 a.m. and Stevens at 1 p.m.
