The NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee announced today the field of 61 teams for the 2008 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship, as thirty-eight conferences were awarded automatic qualification for the 2008 championship.
The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball received an at large-bid into the 2008 tournament with their impressive 29-9 overall season record. The Hawks will play on Thursday, November 13th at Union College against Hunter College (27-5). The winner will face Union (35-5) or Rivier (25-10). The other teams participating in the regional bracket are Haverford (24-6), Fredonia (27-9), Stevens Institute (32-4) and Sage College (24-11). This marks the first time in women’s volleyball at New Paltz that the team will participate in the NCAAs.
