New Paltz dominates Wells in a 2-0 victory

The SUNY New Paltz field hockey team cruised to a 2-0 victory against host Wells College, Saturday afternoon on a rainy and muddy field.

Lauren Nicomini opened the scoring in the the 20th minute for the Hawks when she put home a rebound for the 1-0 lead.

In the 49th minute, Meghan Flynn scored off a pass from Jessi Moore to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead and insurance goal.

Elizabeth Tong recorded the win in net saving one shot.  The Hawks improve to 3-11 overall and 0-6 in SUNYAC competition.

The Hawks return to the field Friday October 31st at Union, game set for 4 p.m.
