Baseball Shuts Out CCNY

The baseball team traveled to CCNY this afternoon and shut out the Beavers in a non-conference match-up, 18-0. Jeff Stith earned the win on the mound allowing one hit with 12 strikeouts in seven innings. Joel Judson extended his hitting streak to 14 consecutive games on 4-7 from the plate with five RBIs on the day. Robert Helf tallied four hits, including a two run homer, and Dylan Franco and Neal Rosengren each had two hits.
Brett Harrison and Ben Quick completed the shutout on the mound for the Hawks in the final two innings. First year Bryan Shultis recorded his first collegiate hit in the game.
New Paltz tallied nine runs in the second inning for the early lead and never looked back enroute to 18 runs on 19 hits. The Hawks advance to 14-9 and return to action on Thursday when they travel to RPI at 3:30 pm.
