2007-08 Men’s Season Recap

NEW PALTZ, NY — In 2007-08, the men’s swim team took fourth place at the SUNYAC meet with 472 points and was edged out of third place by two points, as Oswego posted 474 points. The men claimed three individual SUNYAC titles. Sophomore Stephen Cozzolongo was first in the 100 back (:53.47), sophomore Zachary Lowenstein won the 200 IM (1:58.62) and senior Johnny Fleckenstein claimed the 400 IM (4:13.77) as each earned first team all-conference. The men’s 200 freestyle relay of David Gardner, Patrick Rathbun, Billy Papetti and Lowenstein took third at SUNYACs in 1:27.19, missing the school record time of 1:27.11. The Hawks finished with a 5-4 dual meet record.
