Baseball Snaps Eight Game Win Streak

FT. PIERCE, FL — The baseball team snapped their eight game win streak with a 2-0 loss to Bethany Lutheran College this afternoon. With the loss the team falls to 9-4 on the season. Bethany Lutheran scored a run in the first inning and in the seventh. New Paltz registered seven hits and left six on base. Jesse Marsh and Joel Judson were each 2-4 from the plate to lead the Hawks. Kevin Paino, Devin Scalabrini and Robert Helf each tallied one hit. John Giuliano pitched the complete game, allowing seven hits, two runs and striking out six batters.
New Paltz returns to action on Saturday against Wisconsin-Superior at 8:45am and Crown College at 12:30pm.
