Katori Named Senior Woman Administrator

NEW PALTZ, NY — SUNY New Paltz Director of Athletics, Stuart Robinson, has named Ms. Kristina Katori as the new Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). Katori will serve as a member of the senior staff and help to meet the needs of the student-athletes and coaches.

"After carefully considering all of the women on our staff for the SWA position, we are pleased that Kristina has accepted the challenge of providing an important voice within the administrative affairs of the department,” stated Robinson. “She is thoughtful and deliberate; I look forward to working with her."

Katori is in her second year as the head softball coach. In her first season, she guided the team to a record of 17-21 and earned a sixth place regular season SUNYAC finish. The Hawks finished 10-10 in SUNYAC and reached the playoffs for the first time since 1998. Prior to her arrival at New Paltz she spent four years as the assistant softball and basketball coach at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

She holds a B.A degree from Nichols College and earned a master’s degree in education and athletic administration from Plymouth State in 2002.
