The women’s volleyball team continued play at the SUNY/Liberty Challenge today. The Hawks lost to Skidmore 3-1 (30-22, 27-30, 22-30, 12-30). Senior Katie Becofsky handed out 35 assists and Lauren Hogue finished with 11 kills and 10 digs.
New Paltz defeated St. Lawrence 3-1 (30-19, 25-30, 30-24, 30-22). Kim Braga, Brittany Coyle and Amanda Brown each finished with 12 kills with Braga also collected four blocks. Becofsky dished out 43 assists and Hogue finished with 18 digs on her way to earning All-Tournament honors.
The Hawks return to action next weekend for the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play.
