Women’s Soccer Trip to England

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Women’s Soccer Team recently returned from a tremendous Spring Break trip to England! The team stayed just outside of London in a town called Sutton, and traveled into and around London everyday to take in the sights. Some of the sights included The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Buckingham Palace, the Tate Modern Museum of Art, and a special invitation to get right up to the front door of the famous home of Prime Minister Blair’s 10 Downing Street!

The team also traveled to see an English Premier League game between Charlton and Newcastle, and also played in two games vs Epson Eagles (1-0 Win), and Wangas Ladies Football Club (0-1 Loss).

Overall, the experience was a great one that the student athletes will never forget! Coach Colleen Bruley has now taken three teams over the past eight years, and looks forward to the next trip in 2011.
