Foluke-Henderson Nets 1,000 Point in Win over Baruch

NEW YORK, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball team traveled to Baruch College tonight and claimed a 65-64 victory. Amseshem Foluke-Henderson netted his 1,000 career point in the victory with a performance of 17 points and seven rebounds. With 1:04 remaining the Hawks led 65-60. Baruch sank two layups to close the gap to one. New Paltz then committed a turnover with eight seconds left to turn the ball back over to Baruch. The Bearcats managed to get a shot off at the buzzer which fell short to seal the win for the Hawks.
Tony Cannon finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Senior John Hauser scored 11 points, five rebounds and classmate Matt Irwin netted eight points for the Hawks.
SUNY New Paltz advances to 9-9 on the season and returns to action on Saturday when they host Oneonta State in a 4 pm SUNYAC match-up.
