John Hauser Nets 1,000 Career Point

HONOLULU, HI — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball team traveled to Honolulu, HI to take on the Chaminade Swords in a non-conference matchup. Despite a strong effort by the Hawks, Chaminade withstood to claim the 101-86 victory.
SUNY New Paltz was aggressive in the first half and was up 42-41, late in the first but closed out the half trailing 46-44. Chaminade opened up the game with an 11-0 run to start the second half.
Senior John Hauser led the offense with 26 points, hitting four of seven from the arc and all four attempts from the charity stripe. With the 26 point effort, Hauser hit his 1,000 career point and now stands at 1,021.
Amseshem Foluke-Henderson chipped in with 22 points, five rebounds as Matt Hauser added 11 points and Matt Irwin dished out seven assists.
SUNY New Paltz falls to 5-4 on the year and will be back in action on January 10th when they host Old Westbury at 7:00 p.m.
