NEW YORK, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball team travelled to CCNY to take on the Beavers in a non-conference match-up. The Hawks soared to a 75-28 victory and advance to 7-3 on the season.
First year Carly Minehan led the way with 16 points, shooting seven of nine from the field. Classmate Kristen Sitek added 14 points and grabbed a game high nine boards. Junior Sarah Salvo finished with 10 points as she hit eight of nine from the charity stripe and haulded down seven rebounds, as senior Kristin Jackson chipped in with 10 points.
The Hawks will return to action on the road for a SUNYAC weekend when they take on the Potsdam Bears on Friday at 6 pm before facing the Plattsburgh Cardinals on Saturday at 2 pm.
