Hawks Fall in ECAC Finals 3-2 to U of R

ROCHESTER, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Hawks fell to the University of Rochester 3-2 in the ECAC Championship Finals Saturday night. The Hawks finish their season at 26-12.
The Hawks claimed game one 30-28 and game four 30-17, while U of R claimed games two (30-16), three (32-30) and five (15-4). Senior Kim Clouston led the way for the Hawks with 21 kills and 21 digs. Sophomore Nicole Mercadante finished with 42 digs and first year Lauren Hogue collected 26 digs for the Hawks. Amanda Brown recorded 16 kills and first year Brittany Coyle added 12 kills. Junior Katie Becofsky dished out 59 assists and senior Kate Roche totaled six blocks.
