Cross Country Competes at ECACs
WILLIAMSTOWN, NY — The men’s and women’s cross teams competed at the ECAC Championships Saturday. The women’s team finished 16th out of 35 teams as the men finished 30th out of 40 teams.
Senior Kelly Dunphy led the way for the Hawks with a time of 25:34 over the 6K course. Lisa Cassaro crossed the line in 25:57, and sophomore Stephanie Albinski finished at 26:15. Jessica Waterbury and Tara McGorry rounded out the scoring five in 26:36 and 27:09, respectively. Winter Eyres and Christie Carlstrom finished the top seven for the Hawks.
The men’s team was led by Nick Avello in a time of 29:37 over the 8K course. First year Robert Grazier finished in 30:30 and senior Harry Sudwischer crossed nine seconds later (30:39). Alex Colucci was four second behind in 30:43 and Tim Ivancic crossed in 30:59. Rounding out the top seven for the Hawks were Kurtis Nordahl and Parker Ince.
Both teams will return to action on Nov. 11th when they compete in the NCAA Regionals hosted by SUNY Geneseo at Letchworth State Park.
