Volleyball Falls to Skidmore at SUNYAC/Liberty Challenge

SCHENECTADY, NY — SUNY New Paltz continued play in the 2006 Liberty League/SUNYAC Volleyball Challenge on Saturday. The Hawks fells to Skidmore this afternoon in five games.

New Paltz claimed game one (30-28) and three (30-25) while Skidmore took game two (30-24), four (30-21) and five (15-11). First year Brittany Coyle led the Hawks with 15 kills and five blocks. All Tournament pick, Kim Clouston finished with 16 kills and 27 digs, while Kate Roche added 14 kills. Nicole Mercadante totaled 44 digs as Stephanie Bova dished out 25 assists and Katie Becofsky handed out 31.

The Hawks will return to action when they host the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play on October 20-21.
