NEW PALTZ — Nine seniors from the State University of New York at New Paltz have been named to the 2006 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The students and their corresponding majors are: Shirmeen Charles, Elementary Education; Sendy Diaz, Elementary Education; Fitzarnaz Drummond, Finance/Management; Mary Ezenwa, Psychology; Jessica Green, Biology; Krystle Montalvo, Media Management; Nicole Potestivo, Elementary Education; Bette Sloane, Photography; and Brandon Waterman, Political Science.
They join students from more than 2,000 institutions of higher learning in the U.S., the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the directory have included the names of students based on their academic achievements, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
