ITHACA, NY — On the final day of competition at the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) Tennis Tournament freshman Dana Lim (New City, NY) competed against #1 seeded Kelly Graham, of Vassar College.
Lim, seeded at #3, lost the number two doubles final 2-6, 6-3, 4-6. Lim won a championship at number two singles at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament last weekend. Her appearence in the NYSWCAA Championship Round was a school record.
In a late night doubles match senior Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) and sophomnore Jennifer Larson (Port Jervis, NY) lost to #1 seeded Robinette and Romita of Vassar, 3-8.
SUNY New Paltz (8-2) finished the tournament in a tie for ninth place. The Hawks placed seventh out of 16 in last year’s tournament that featured student athletes from the top tennis programs throughout New York State.
