HOBOKEN, NJ — The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team lost this evening’s match with Stevens Tech.(4-0) by a score of 3-1. The Ducks took the first game 30-24. SUNY New Paltz stole game two 30-26, but failed to continue the tend, losing games three, 30-27, and four, 30-15.
SUNY New Paltz (2-3) recieved a strong showing from senior outside hitter Christina Mazurowski (Tonawanda, NY), who posted 12 kills and seven blocks. Senior outside hitter Andrea Kaiser (Blue Point, NY) added 13 kills, sophomore setter Katie Becofsky (Altamont, NY) recorded 40 assists and junior outside hitter Franchesa Rodriguez (Schenectady, NY) provided a 20 dig defensive effort for the Hawks in the loss.
The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team will play thier next match on Saturday, September 10, at Western Connecticut.
