SUNY New Paltz Women’s Tennis Competes at ITA Tournament

GENEVA, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team continued their play today at the ITA Tournament at William Smith College this morning.

Hawk’s sophomore Eri Yamakawa (Eastchester, NY) lost in straight sets 6-0, 6-2 against the number one seeded Sarah Coleman of Hamilton College. Freshman, Dana Lim (New City, NY), lost in the second round to Amanda Husson of Cortland in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

In doubles action, Lim and Yamakawa lost to Lannon and Moulin of St. Lawrence 8-5, in the second round. Senior Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) and junior Jen Larson (Port Jervis, NY) fell to Coleman and Donovan of Hamilton College 8-3.

This completes the Hawks play at the ITA Tournament, SUNY New Paltz will return to action Tuesday September 27th against Mount Saint Mary?s College.
