Men’s Volleyball Team Extends Winning Streak To Four

NEW PALTZ, NY — The 11th ranked SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team ran its winning streak to four in a row with a five-game, 3-2 victory over Hunter College this evening.

After winning the first game 30-19, SUNY New Paltz dropped the next two games 30-23 and 30-26. The Hawks then overcame their 2-1 deficit to win games four and five 30-23 and 15-11.

The Hawks, now 6-5, had three players reach double figures in kills. Senior Mike LaRocco (Hauppauge, NY) led the way with 15 kills and six digs. Senior Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) and junior Ryan Bullard (Smithtown, NY) each had 12 kills a piece. LaRocco and Bullard each hit .429 in the match.

Hunter (2-6) was led by Alfred Daos who had 15 kills and a .375 hitting percentage.
