Vinny McAdams Named Baseball MVP

NEW PALTZ, NY — Little Falls native Vinny McAdams was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the SUNY New Paltz baseball team at the school’s annual Athletic Awards Banquet on May 7th.

McAdams, a sophomore outfielder, set a SUNY New Paltz single-season record for hits with 56. He also led the Hawks with 14 doubles and 16 stolen bases and finished second on the team with a .421 batting average (56-for-133) and 24 runs batted in.

McAdams had at least three hits in seven games this season with a season-high four hits coming in the 16-11 win over Centenary College on March 13th. In the victory, he went 4-for-4 with three RBI’s and two runs.

McAdams, a 2001 graduate of St. Johnsville Central, is a marketing major at SUNY New Paltz.
