Jason Letts Named Men’s Tennis MVP

NEW PALTZ, NY — Plattsburgh resident Jason Letts was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the SUNY New Paltz men’s tennis team at the school’s annual Athletic Awards Banquet on May 7th.

Letts, a junior, played number five and six singles and number three doubles for the Hawks. In singles play, he posted an impressive 14-1 record, including a perfect 8-0 mark at number five singles. In doubles play, he and partner Josh Greenspan compiled an 11-3 record. He led the team in both singles and doubles victories.

New Paltz finished the season with an 11-4 record.

Letts, an English major at SUNY New Paltz, is a 2001 graduate of Plattsburgh High School. He is also a member of the SUNY New Paltz men’s cross country team.
