BUFFALO, NY — The seventh-seeded SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team fell 3-0 to tenth-seeded Mount St. Vincent in the opening round of the North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Tournament this evening.
The Dolphins edged the Hawks 31-29 in the first game. Mount St. Vincent then prevailed 30-25 in the second game and 30-24 in the third.
SUNY New Paltz had won its last five matches including a 3-0 win over Mount St. Vincent last Saturday.
The loss dropped SUNY New Paltz to 17-8 on the season. The Hawks will hope to earn an invitation to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament later this month.
