SUNY New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Team Sweeps Polytechnic

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team picked up a 3-0 conference win over Polytechnic University this evening at Elting Gymnasium.

The Hawks committed just 15 errors in the three games and improved to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in the North Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA).

Sophomore Jamie Kellogg (Scio, NY) had a season-high 10 kills for SUNY New Paltz. Freshman Joshua Spiro (Island Park, NY) added nine kills and three service aces for the Hawks who had dropped three straight matches prior to this evening.

It was the second victory of the season for SUNY New Paltz over Polytechnic University. The Hawks defeated the Fighting Blue Jays in three games on Feb. 5 in Brooklyn, NY. Polytechnic dropped to 3-12 overall and 1-9 in the NECVA Metro Division.
